Happy National Superhero Day!

April 28th was National Superhero Day!!

Our bestselling kids book line, Innovative Kids, has something to say about comic books and their relation to Super Heroes….

“Comic books have always been at the core of superhero culture. And both comics AND superheroes are a great way to motivate beginning readers! Our Phonics Comics series gives children easy-to-read, carefully leveled stories, in traditional "big kid" comic formats. The stories are exciting, funny, and sure to inspire confidence in your beginning reader. And there are plenty of superheroes (and other characters for boys and girls alike) to choose from.”

Check out our complete line of Innovative Kids products, including Phonics Comics, on our website!!

Tax Day

OK, it’s TAX DAY… and also a day to start thinking about talking to your kids about savings. According to CNN Money, “When it comes to teaching kids about money, the sooner the better. Younger children understandably have trouble grasping off-site savings, so the best mechanism for them is often a piggy bank for coins. Count the money with them periodically and tell them how close they've come to their goals.” Wouldn’t it be fun to have the kids save their money in a piggy bank so cute they will never want to break it open? You can find our complete line of Ugly Doll banks on our website for $25.00 each... it is never too soon to start saving!

Bye......... snow

Posted on February 28, 2015 at 2:30 PM Comments comments (0)

Winter means snow and freezing temperatures for many parts of the country, we at Good Things in Life are certainly tired of shoveling snow and battling freezing days. With the forecast of more snow in our future we thought we would highlight some safety procedures to keep you safe while we wait out the end of this winter.

According to the National Safety Council (www.ncs.org), Individuals over the age of 40, or those who are relatively inactive, should be especially careful. If you have heart trouble, do not shovel without a doctor's permission. Do not shovel after eating or while smoking. Take it slow! Pace yourself. Be sure to stretch out and warm up before taking on the task. Lift with your legs bent, not your back. Keep your back straight: Dress warmly.

If your back is sore or you notice that your circulation is suffering from these excess freezing temperatures, check out our complete line of Incrediwear braces and socks which are all 20% off this month!
